Abbi Falls

Just 5 kilometers outside Madikeri, Abbi falls situated in a private coffee estate is a great place for picnic.

Irpu Falls

48 kms from Virajpet on the way to Nagarahole. There is a temple on the banks of river Lakshmana Theertha. Irpu falls would be a trekker’s point.         

Bhagamandala Temple

36 Kms from Madikeri. Built in the Kerala style at the confluence of three rivers(the Cauvery, the Kannika and the Sujyothi), this temple houses a variety of smaller shrines dedicated to various gods.


Forest Resort – 2 Kms from Kushalnagar (30 kms from Madikeri) on the State Highway. There are a few islets in the river Cauvery. The cluster of wooden huts, Nisargadhama is built to blend with the sandalwood forest around. Apart from the lodging, a small canteen, a deer park, children’s playing area are added attractions. Rajamallay (17 Km/ 10 mile):

(Origin of river Cauvery) – 45 Kms from Madikeri. This is the source of the holy river cauvery, captured in a small well less than a meter square. In October on Sankaramana day, thousands gather to see a miracle -the sudden bubbling and frothing of the small well, symbolising the appearance of the Goddess Cauvery.

Madikeri Tour (9 am – 1 pm) 35 kms both ways

Tour covers visit to Tea estate, Kuttu Holle reservoir, Golf course, Gaddige, Omkareshwar temple, Raja seat, Fort & Museum.


Vir Rajendra and his wife Mahadevi Amma were buried there in 1851. 

Raja Seat :

A park with toy train. Ticket charged.

Museum :

An ancient church. Before a temple existed which was broken down to Masjid by ancient king and converted into a church by the British.

Golden Temple& Nisargadhama tour (9 am – 2 pm) 70 kms. both ways Tour covers visit to Golden temple the second largest Tibetian camp in India. Proceed to Nisrgadhama where you enjoy the deer park, elephant ride, rabbit den and boating facility. Added attraction is the hanging bridge. Entry fee & elephant ride & boating facility at extra cost.

Talacauvery Tour (8 am – 2 pm)

84 kms both ways Tour covers visit to Bagamandala temple situated at the confluence of three rivers Cauvery, Kanike and Sujyothi. This temple has many small shrines where different Gods and Goddesses are worshipped. Talacauvery is the birth place of river cauvery and view point of Brahmagiri hill. Bathing at Talacauvery can be done. Changing facility available.

Dubarey Elephant camp (7.30 am – 2 pm)

60 kms. both ways An unique tour where guests get an opportunity to give a bath, scrub and feed the elephants at Dubarey forest. An intimate experience with the elephants. These activites are conducted only in the morning from 8.45 am to 12 pm. Do carry extra clothes and towels !!! Do not miss this tour. 

Nagarhole game sanctuary (9 am – 5 pm)

180 kms. both ways Tour covers visit to Irpu waterfall and Nagarhole sanctuary where you come across tigers, bison, elephants, deer, peacocks, birds, etc. Safari at extra cost. Tour is inclusive of vegeterian lunch. During forest fire the sanctuary is closed.





Nishanibetta (8 kms both ways)

Trek through the forest to reach the Nishani peak (1270 mtrs.). Enjoy the view of Harangini backwater & Pushapagiri fom the peak.

Kalur trek (10 kms. both ways)

Trek through the woods to experience the scenic beauty from the peak of the hillock.
