The Guruvayoor Temple opens at 3 AM every day and that is when the Nirmalyam happens. Different kinds of poojas and aartis happen every half an hour. It remains shut from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, after which it remain opens till 9:15 PM.

Kochi International Airport is 80km away from Guruvayoor and Calicut airport is about 100km away. If you are coming by train, Guruvayoor has its own railway station, which is located towards the east of the temple and is connected to Mangaluru, Chennai, and Thiruvananthapuram.
